IIS University Students Represent Jewellary in Egypt

Jaipur: The students of IIS Deemed University namely Samriddhi Jain, Nandini Soni and Aastha Jain from the department of Jewellary designing and Technology showcased jewellary made by them in the 6th Miss India Eco International beauty pageant held recently in Egypt. The students have represented Eco India and made jewellary for all the rounds. In this pageant, the center for attraction was the headgear dedicated by the students to the frontline doctors and nurses risking their lives in the pandemic and was made out of medicinal waste.

Miss Eco International is a beauty pageant wherein the representatives from all over the world take part with an objective of creating a better, more eco-friendly planet. The main mission of Miss Eco International is “to promote the importance of saving our planet environmentally, in addition to marketing tourism across the world”. Around 80 countries took part in the competition. In one of the categories namely eco-India, the students prepared a headgear dedicating it to the Corona warriors. 


Student Samriddhi Jain told that the headgear was made out of medicinal waste such as medicine wrappers, drip pipes and syringes and beautified it with precious and semi-precious stones. It gives a glance of Indian tricolor.

Another student Nandini Soni said that they have designed the jewellary for all the rounds and was worn by the Indian model Harshita Bhambhani. She also said that apart from the headgear necklace, earrings were also showcased which was loved by one and all while headgear received appreciation from the judges. 

Whereas student Aastha Jain thanked her teachers Dr. Neeru Jain, head and Ms Swati Phophalia, additional head for designing, supporting and guiding them for unique designs and beautiful collection. Dr. Ashok Gupta, Chancellor and Dr. Raakhi Gupta, Registrar of the university congratulated the students on the achievement.
